What I'm working on

Day job is VP of Engineering at Crescat. Shipping features, integrating AI into our workflow, some Flutter stuff. The usual.

Side projects currently getting attention:
  • Sema — a Lisp with first-class LLM primitives, written in Rust. 400+ builtins, 11 providers, WASM playground. Because what the world definitely needed was another Lisp.
  • Token — a text editor in Rust using the Elm Architecture. Because what the world also needed was another text editor.
  • This website — perpetually adding retro nonsense. 22 themes and counting. There is no finish line.

Also maintaining Pest to PHPUnit, Reddit Scrutinizer, and about 400 other projects in ~/code, most in various states of abandonment.

What I'm building with

Laravel and Vue at work. Livewire and Filament for my own Laravel stuff. Rust, Zig, Bun, or whatever else I decide is fun that day for everything else. Flutter when mobile is involved. Amp Code and Claude Code for basically everything now — I'm deep in the AI-assisted coding rabbit hole and I'm not coming out.

What I'm listening to

DI.fm Classic Trance on repeat. A dangerous amount of Suno tracks I made myself. Old Tiësto sets from the early 2000s — the kind that run for 6 hours and make you forget what decade it is.

What I'm watching

YouTube is doing most of the heavy lifting: Tsoding Daily / Tsoding for unhinged low-level coding, Folding Ideas for anything Dan Olson decides to make (always worth it), loopop, AudioPilz, Alex Ball, and Starsky Carr for synth stuff. AI Explained for keeping up with the AI arms race. Fireship for dev news in 100 seconds. Used to watch a lot of Andreas Kling (SerenityOS / Ladybird) — those longform "watch me code" sessions were peak content, but he stopped doing them.

TV: trying to get through all of Supernatural. 15 seasons is a commitment. Gave up on Lost — never gonna find out what that thing in the forest was and I've made peace with it.

Synth situation

Ran out of desk space, so no new acquisitions. Just playing with what I have — five Access Viruses, a Roland JP-8000, a Waldorf Blofeld, a pile of Behringers, and assorted other noise-makers. If I were to buy something (I'm not) (I might), it would be a Sequential Prophet 6. But I'm not buying anything. The desk said no.

Where I am

Bergen, Norway. It's raining. Or it just stopped. Or it's about to start. This is fine. More time for code and synths.
