How it works: A WebGL2 fluid simulation runs at 60fps on a 128x128 grid. Virtual microphones sample the pressure field along a ring, creating an evolving wavetable that is scanned at audio rate by an AudioWorklet. The fluid dynamics shape the timbre while the scanning rate sets the pitch.
Controls: Click and drag on the canvas to inject smoke. Switch presets for different fluid configurations and mic placements. Place your own mics with the "Place Mic" button, right-click to remove. Unmute to hear the audio.
